The Election Commission today issued notices to three senior officials of the Organising Committee of the Commonwealth Games asking them why a sum of over Rs 26 lakhs should not be recovered from them for releasing advertisements which violated the model code of conduct.

The notices have been served on Shovana Narayan, Joint Director, Neel Chatterjee, Additional Director General and Bharat Prasad, Deputy Director of the Committee.
