The ruling SAD today alleged that the opposition Congress was "threatening" election officials with false complaints against them and termed it as a poll code violation.

"Congress leaders are threatening the officials by making false complaints against them with Election Commission, which is a clear violation of model code of conduct," Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal said today.

The party chief said he apprised Election Commission of the "code violation" and appealed to verify the complaints.
