A criminal case has been filed against Naqvi and his supporters in the district court in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, for allegedly barging into a police station and creating a chaos, police said.
According to Inspector NK Tyagi, the incident took place after mob of around 100 angry BJP workers stormed the Patwai police station, blocked the road outside and locked the gate. Naqvi later arrived at the spot and made an inflammatory speech to the mob in the presence of the police. One of the vehicles used by the BJPO activists, was sezied by the police.
